2017 Track & Field Information
The Chargers are an athletic organization for homeschoolers. Your child’s education must be parent directed and at least 51% of your child’s course work must be provided at home. If your athlete(s) is new to homeschooling, or transferring to the Chargers for any reason, they must speak with the Chargers Track & Field Director before beginning practice.
Jr High and Varsity athletes competing in meets against MSHSAA members have other eligibility requirements. First, the athlete must have been homeschooled for 365 consecutive days prior to the meet involving a MSHSAA member team. Second, the athlete cannot be enrolled in more than 2 credit-bearing courses at a public or private school.
AGE GROUPS (Age on September 1, 2016):
8U Boys & Girls - 6-8
10U Boys & Girls - 9-10
12U Boys & Girls – 11-12
14U Boys & Girls – 13-14
16U Boys & Girls – 15-16
18U Boys & Girls – 17-18
$65 – 14U, 16U & 18U Participant Fee
$45 – 10U & 12U Participant Fee
$10 – 8U Participant Fee
Fees can be raised through paid sponsorships. Sponsors receive ad space in the Chargers All Sports Annual.
PRACTICES (March - Mid-May):
TUE & THUR – 5:15-7:15 p.m. at Willard High School, Willard, MO
First practice is Tuesday, March 7th.
The Chargers are a volunteer organization. Your help is needed. The Chargers are always in need of people who will: Coach, Assistant Coach, Keep Stats, Time Events, Coordinate Fundraisers, Coordinate Concessions & Gate at meets, Coordinate year-end parties, etc.
The Chargers carry general liability insurance. Medical Insurance is not provided.
The Chargers communicate exclusively through TeamSnap, website, and social media. Check your email regularly. If you don’t, you will miss something.
SPORTS PHYSICAL NO OLDER THAN JULY 1, 2016:
